Make your Garmin 496 easy to see and operate in your new Eclipse 500 with this professional installation. This simple and professionally designed and manufactured mount allows you to easily install your 496 in a place where it is secure while not in the way of your flying field of view. The mount clamps onto the overhead handle floating above the glare shield and swivels so you (or your copilot) can see the 496 screen clearly at every seating position. The AC power (with extended cord sold separately) and WX antenna cables can be easily hidden inside the center windscreen post cover and you can still take your 496 home without removing the mount. With this installation, the internal 496 antenna can pick-up all satellites so there is no need for an external GPS antenna with extra cables. This innovative black anodized aluminum mount is custom designed specifically for the Eclipse 500 and is made on a computerized milling machine to exact standards. With this mount, your 496 will become a permanent complement to the fully functioning AVIO NG 2.0 avionics suite as an extremely capable stand-alone back-up instrument. With the IAS GPSMAP mount, you won’t fly without your Garmin 496. |
